I’m sitting in a warm bed listening to the lapping water on the beach outside. It’s still dark and Lord willing, tomorrow morning we will be setting off on our trip to Zambia. Lots to do today!
The last few days were packed! I flew with Ethiopian Airlines from Toronto to Addis Ababa and then directly to Cape Town. From there, the first stop was Stellenbosch to pack up mom Griet’s apartment with my sister Rinette, for the move back to Saldanha.
Wednesday morning I drove into Cape Town to the beautiful offices of EMI – Engineering Ministries International – to meet with Chamonix who was the leader of the team to our training centre. They do amazing and inspiring work throughout the world! She’s on her way to help build an agriculture training centre in Madagascar.
It was so lovely to be in the City again with so so many good memories as I drove all the way to Somerset West and back to Stellenbosch for one last load, picking up my nephew Adriaan after school, before meeting my cousin Carmen back at my sister Rinette’s house in Wellington – with Melktert and banana bread!
Yesterday morning mom Griet and I drove to Saldanha through beautiful green fields and spring flowers all over! Unpacking and packing is in full swing!
